Thanks to its low weight of just 950 grams, this jet helmet is a light and safe companion for your trips. Since a helmet should be durable in addition to its lightweight features, the Italians have used durable ABS thermoplastic to meet this requirement. With this special material, the VJ guarantees excellent protective functions, as it provides optimal protection in the event of a fall thanks to its properties such as elongation at tear, high hardness and impact strength. The high-quality equipment of the VJ includes a scratch-resistant and clear visor as well as a tinted sun visor. The special tint protects the eyes from UV rays and the unpleasant effects of the sun.
With the help of a breathable inner lining, an ideal climate can be achieved inside the helmet, as it quickly and effectively transports moisture away and has an antibacterial effect. To clean the helmet, the entire padding can be removed and washed. In order to ensure lasting safety and a longer service life, the outer shell of the VJ has also been given a UV-resistant coating. Like all models, the VJ had to be tested according to the guidelines of the European regulation and, after successfully passing, received the test standard ECE 22.05. With this marking, this model can be driven without problems not only in Italy, but throughout Europe. The jet helmet is offered with an easy-to-use yet secure chin strap with a ratchet closure.
ECE 22.05: ECE refers to the European regulation according to which protective helmets for motorized two-wheelers must be manufactured. Since the beginning of 2002, the fifth amendment to the ECE standard, version 22.05, has come into force. Among other things, it defines criteria such as shock absorption values at individual points through the drop test, size and shape of the cushioning shell, chin impact, testing the chin rest cushioning and the penetration resistance of the visor.
